Micro Plastics & Why We Created the Paper Straws Don't Suck T-Shirt

Watching the news a week ago we heard a story about micro plastics being found in every living organism in the world's oceans.

This article from Scientific American sums up micro plastic pollution: You need to read it. Click here to read it.

Fibers are found in plankton which then moves up the food chain into the seafood we eat and then into our bodies. It is too early to tell how this will impact our oceans and our lives, but it can't be good. Anytime you introduce a foreign substance to the body, it has consequences. Early reports are most concerned with organs and the blood stream.

This one news story was the reason we designed the Paper Straws Don't Suck T Shirt. It's a tongue in cheek reference to the hatred of paper straws, they start to disintegrate while you use them, but we think they are a small price to pay to reduce the amount of plastic pollution.

We are in the process of choosing which environmental organization our customers want to support. 10% of the sales of this shirt will be donated. Because at T-Shirt Rant, we just don't rant, we rant for good. Organic Option Available.
